VI Internationalization 2025–2026 supports VoiceInteraction’s international growth through market development, strategic partnerships, commercial activity and stronger positioning in priority markets.

ADS was a national innovation project exploring how speech transcription, translation, timing alignment, voice generation and human review could support more efficient audiovisual dubbing and localisation workflows.

The rise of smart speech technology has revolutionised consumer access to information and applications. However, privacy risks, including potential breaches by service operators and hackers accessing spoken words and sensitive non-lexical information, are a concern. Privacy-preserving smart speech technologies could help mitigate these risks. With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the PSST project aims to develop urgently needed technologies using deep learning.

Developing trustworthy human-AI dialogue systems that allow defence and security personnel to interact naturally with AI through voice and text, improving access to information, operational decision support, and multilingual collaboration across European defence environments.

The LINGUARISE-DC project develops an advanced language platform to address linguistic challenges in Europe’s defence sector. It enhances EU missions by improving communication, intelligence gathering, and operations, filling a key gap in Human Language Technologies.

ALERTA was a VoiceInteraction R&D project focused on extracting, organising and distributing meaningful information from audiovisual content. It connected automatic transcription and audio analysis with semantic indexing, search, topic-based filtering and content alerts.

VOICE NUC was a VoiceInteraction R&D project focused on speech-processing technologies for more natural interaction between people and automated services. The project explored the combination of speech recognition, speech synthesis and dialogue management in domain-specific conversational interfaces.

The SAVAS project collected textual and audiovisual resources produced in six European languages: Spanish, Basque, Portuguese, Italian, French and German.

The CAPER project aims to prevent organized crime through the creation of a common platform that facilitates sharing, exploring and analyzing publicly accessible information, as well as information from private repositories.

The AGATHA consortium aims to develop a system for assisting criminal investigation police and intelligence services to facilitate the compilation of evidence of criminal practices by using information available in open sources and analyzing it automatically.

This project aims to create an integrated platform where the contents of intercepted calls are automatically transcribed using automatic speech recognition technology and segmented according to the speaker.

The main goal of this project is to automate transcriptions of interrogations and depositions for the purpose of maximizing resources and reducing the current burden and time spent in manual transcription procedures from scratch.

The QuickSpeech project aims to create a new research hub within VoiceInteraction that will research and develop new models, algorithms and software architectures to optimize language model processing.
