Overview
A live program, interview or monitored feed can contain the next story a newsroom needs to publish. The challenge is that the value inside spoken media is often difficult to find once the live moment has passed. Teams may need to search long recordings manually, move between separate tools, prepare clips and metadata, and repeat review steps before material is ready for another channel.
That pressure is increasingly visible across broadcast, web, social, streaming and mobile publishing. Newsroom and content operations teams need to respond quickly, but speed cannot come at the cost of editorial control or confidence in the source material.
At NAB Show New York 2026, VoiceInteraction will focus on a practical question: how can speech-derived information help media teams move from live or recorded content to searchable, reviewable and reusable assets? The answer is not one autonomous publishing pipeline. It is a set of clear workflows in which search, clipping, transcription, metadata and human review each support the next newsroom action.
Key themes
Search should lead to a useful editorial action
Searchable media is valuable when it helps a team move from a topic, name or phrase to the relevant source segment. Media Monitoring System continuously monitors broadcast and recorded sources, generates transcripts and metadata, and supports a practical sequence: monitor, search, review, create a clip, export and reuse.
For newsroom teams, this can reduce the time spent locating material across long programs or archives. The important point is not search by itself. It is the ability to inspect the source, confirm the relevant moment and prepare a reviewed output for the next step.
Clips and metadata still require editorial control
Faster content preparation should not be confused with unsupervised publication. A transcript or automatically identified segment can help a team discover material, but editorial users still need to assess context, select the appropriate boundaries and confirm what should be published.
That review step remains visible in the VoiceInteraction campaign. Media Monitoring System supports clipping, metadata and export workflows, while the newsroom retains responsibility for editorial decisions. Automation reduces avoidable handoffs; it does not replace judgment.
Recorded interviews need a workflow of their own
Interviews, programs and archive files have different operational requirements from a live stream. Recorded material must be imported, processed, reviewed and exported in the formats the downstream team can use.
Audimus.Server is designed for this file-based context. It supports transcription, caption generation, translation, human review and export for recorded audio and video. At NAB Show New York, the demonstration will show a recorded interview or program progressing from import to a searchable, reviewable output without implying instant or fully automated publishing.
Live captioning is a related—but separate—starting point
Audimus.Media supports the generation, supervision and delivery of real-time captions in live broadcast and streaming environments. Retained transcript workflows can support later review and export where configured, but the campaign does not claim that live output automatically transfers into Media Monitoring System or Audimus.Server.
Keeping the workflows distinct makes the conversation more useful. Visitors can discuss the live, monitored or recorded-media requirement that matches their operation, including language, deployment, review and integration constraints.
Looking ahead
The opportunity for newsrooms is not simply to produce more text. It is to make spoken content easier to find, inspect and prepare for responsible reuse across broadcast and digital channels.
Visitors to NAB Show New York can meet VoiceInteraction at Booth 926 to see the Media Monitoring System search-to-clip journey and the Audimus.Server recorded-content workflow. The team can also discuss live captioning as a separate operational requirement where Audimus.Media is relevant.
Bring a newsroom, archive or content-operations challenge to the conversation. The demonstration will focus on the steps, review points and outputs that matter to the workflow—not on a disconnected feature tour.
